Pregnancy Rules
Pregnancy plot is a large part of any Garou's story and Hounds of Hell is no different. Not only is the birth and pregnancy of a child a large boost to the renown of a Garou it also serves the purpose of the Kinfolk attached to them for their work in the game and also the relationship both the Garou and the Kinfolk have in common.
To fall pregnant in Hounds of Hell there are some simple things to do.
1. The First Chop - (The pregnancy test.)
- Please find a Storyteller in #Hounds:OOC. let them know that you wish to take a pregnancy test and specify which character this will be for.
- Accompany the ST (Storyteller) into the #Hounds:Dice channel and there you will be able to chop ( `rps ) against the ST for your pregnancy.
- The Pregnancy chop is a single static with no Retest. in order to fall pregnant you must LOSE your challenge against the ST. this will be a POSITIVE pregnancy test.
- WINs or DRAWs mean that your character is NOT pregnant. And as such is a NEGATIVE pregnancy test.
for example:
[18:38] <Eva_> `rps
[18:38] <GameServ> Eva_ throws: rock
[18:39] <@le_ebil_st> `rps
[18:39] <GameServ> le_ebil_st throws: scissors
this would mean Eva Mahn is NOT pregnant.
whereas,
[18:39] <Eva_> `rps
[18:39] <GameServ> Eva_ throws: scissors
[18:39] <@le_ebil_st> `rps
[18:39] <GameServ> le_ebil_st throws: rock
this would mean Eva Mahn IS pregnant.
3. Single or Multiples
Congratulations you are now pregnant.. but now we have to determine how many children you are carrying. with the ST now type "`roll 10d10"
the result you have before you will determine how many children you are carrying for this pregnancy.
- if you are in the 90th percentile - you are carrying TRIPLETS
- if you are in the 70th percentile - you are carrying TWINS
- Anything lower than 70 in this rating you are carrying a SINGLE birth.
for example:
[18:34] <Eva_> `roll 10d10
[18:34] <GameServ> Eva_ rolled 10d10: 3 6 4 6 6 10 6 1 5 9 <Total: 56>
this would mean Eva Mahn is carrying a single birth pregnancy.
whereas,
[18:36] <Eva_> `roll 10d10
[18:36] <GameServ> Eva_ rolled 10d10: 6 7 7 8 7 10 8 10 5 7 <Total: 75>
this would mean Eva Mahn is carrying TWINS for her pregnancy.
2. The Sex
Once the pregnancy test has been completed depending on the result you will now have to chop to determine the sex and breed of the child you are going to have
Firstly we shall determine the sex of your child/children:
with the storyteller type `roll 1d2
- Rolling a 1 will determine the child a MALE
- Rolling a 2 will determine the child a FEMALE
this roll will be repeated for each of the children in the pregnancy.
for example:
Eva Mahn has determined that she is pregnant with a single birth:
[18:49] <Eva_> `roll 1d2
[18:49] <GameServ> Eva_ rolled 1d2: 2 <Total: 2>
with this Eva Mahn is having a female child.
3. The Breed
so now the number of children and their sexes have been determined we must now work out if the children are Garou or if they are Kinfolk. to do this we will make a regular chop (`rps) and determine it from this.
- a WIN will determine the child a GAROU
- a DRAW will determine the child a KINFOLK
- a LOSS will determine the child a KINFOLK
for example:
Eva Mahn is already determined to be having a single birth pregnancy of a baby girl.
so:
[18:43] <@le_ebil_st> `rps
[18:43] <GameServ> le_ebil_st throws: scissors
[18:44] <Eva_> `rps
[18:44] <GameServ> Eva_ throws: rock
with this result, Eva Mahn is having the single birth pregnancy of a female Garou.
PLEASE NOTE:
all pregnancies go with the breed of their mother. A Homid mother means a Homid child, even if the Father is Lupus and a Lupus Mother means a Lupus child even if the Father is Homid.
